PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable recycling of separated Pd as a Pd catalyst liquid by passing the Pd catalyst liquid contg. copper ions through an iminodiacetic acid type chelate resin layer to have the included copper ions and a specified amt. of Pd adsorbed, and treating this chelate resin layer with a mineral acid, thereby eluting the copper ions. ;SOLUTION: The Pd catalyst liquid 2 in which the copper is included to some extent is passed by a pump 9 via a valve 10 from the upper part of a metal removing column 3 to the iminodiacetic acid type chelate resin layer 4 to have the copper ions and the specified amt. of the Pd adsorbed. This liquid is returned to the Pd catalyst liquid 2 via a piping 14b. When the copper ions concn. of the resin layer 4 exceeds a specified management range, the valve 10 is closed and a valve 11 is opened to admit the mineral acid liquid 6 into the resin layer 4, by which the copper is eluted. The eluted copper is collected in a waste copper liquid tank 7 via a piping 14d. The amt. of the chelate resin to be used is specified to about 1 to 30 g for each 1 layer of the Pd catalyst liquid. The amt. of the Pd catalyst liquid to be passed to the chelate resin layer 4 is specified to about 1 to 50 ml/min for each 1 g of the chelate resin.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1999,JPO
