GHOST ELIMINATION CIRCUIT FOR VBI DATA BROADCASTING

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate ghosts by performing ghost discrimination and the estimation of a ghost amount only by hardware from the waveform of the clock line-in part of VBI data. ;SOLUTION: This circuit is constituted of a ghost discrimination circuit 13 for discriminating whether or not the ghost is a proximity ghost from the waveform of the clock line-in of the VBI data, an estimated ghost generation circuit A 8 for generating an estimated ghost from the waveform of the clock line-in in the case of the proximety ghost, a subtractor 9 for subtracting the estimated ghost from the output signals of an AD conversion circuit 2 so as to eliminate a preceding ghost, the subtractor 10 for subtracting the estimated ghost from the output signals of a delay circuit B 6 so as to eliminate a succeeding ghost and a switch A 12 and the switch B 14 for switching and outputting the signals.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1999,JPO
