PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a synchronizing type random access memory control device and a method in which current consumption is prevented by controlling a synchronizing random access memory (Sync-RAM) so that data can be accessed by a finish access system and a lap around system when length of burst is held in a whole page and controlling a counting section by an access system. ;SOLUTION: An OR gate 40 performs ORing of a burst finish signal OUT interrupting input/output of data of a Sync-RAM and an input/output operation instruction signal INI externally inputted, a counting section 42 is reset being responded to a result of OR, counts responding to an external system clock signal CK, a burst detecting section 44 detects finish of burst operation responding to a control signal C from a length signal BLS which is externally inputted and has length of burst of at least one or more having information for length of burst and a result counted by a counting section, outputs a detected result as a burst finish signal OUT, and a control section 46 outputs the control signal C corresponding to accessing data stored in the Sync-RAM by a finish system or accessing by a lap around system.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1999,JPO
