PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a silver halide film material suitable for an industrial nondestructive test. ;SOLUTION: The material is a black-and-white silver halide photographic material contg. a substrate, and two photosensitive emulsion layers and their protective stress resistant top layers on both sides of the substrate. The substrate is coated with at least 5g (expressed in terms of the equiv. of silver nitrate) total silver per one side. The photosensitive emulsion layer closer to the top layer contains at least one silver halide emulsion spectrally sensitized at 350-500 nm wavelength and contg. flat platy emulsion crystals having {111} or {100} principal faces and the emulsion layer closer to the substrate contains at least one non-spectrally sensitized emulsion contg. substantially cubic silver halide emulsion crystals. The cubic emulsion crystals and/or the flat platy emulsion crystals have a silver halide compsn. contg. at least 75 mol% (expressed in terms of silver) silver bromide.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1999,JPO
