PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the labor and time which are needed for development of a business screen by reading the numerical information corresponding to a designated pattern and drawing a window frame on a display screen to obtain a business screen for a business program. ;SOLUTION: When a window frame design program is executed, a CPU 11 displays a window frame design screen of a prescribed format via a display 20 and resets the value (a) of an index counter at 0. Then the CPU 11 reads the index item names out of a window frame data base in a list and shows this list on the window frame design screen. When a certain item name is designated out of the index item name list via the operation of a keyboard 18, etc., the window frame data base is retrieved to acquire the position size information corresponding to the designated item name. Then a window frame is drawn on the window frame design screen. Thus, an index item name that is corresponding to the number of window frames of a business screen to be designed is designated out of the index item name list.
