PURPOSE: To contribute to the reduction of cost while shortening a time required for the collation of a fingerprint. ;CONSTITUTION: When plural fingerprint collation devices register the fingerprint on the registered fingerprint data registration area of a host computer 24 from a certain fingerprint collation device 26₁ in terminal equipment via terminal equipment 22₁ and register the registered fingerprint data from the registered fingerprint data registration area of the host computer 24 on the registered fingerprint data registration area of the terminal equipment or another fingerprint terminal equipment, the registered fingerprint data from the registered fingerprint data registration area of the host computer 24 is registered on the registered fingerprint data registration area on which the registered fingerprint data with the lowest collation priority out of the registered fingerprint data registered on the registered fingerprint data registration area of another fingerprint terminal equipment or the terminal equipment is registered when no null registered fingerprint data registration area of another fingerprint terminal equipment or the terminal equipment exists.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1994,JPO&Japio
