DIFFERENTIAL REFRACTOMETER DETECTOR FOR LIQUID CHROMATOGRAPHY WITH PASSAGE SELECTOR VALVE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To switch a passage downstream of a detector by a passage switching means without having any influence on signals of a differential refractometer detector by connecting the passage switching means to a passage downstream of the differential refractometer detector through a pressure change relaxing means. ;SOLUTION: A solvent 2 sucked into a feed liquid pump 4 is fed to a separation column 8 via a sample filling means 6. An eluate eluted from the separation column 8 flows into a sample cell 10 of a differential refractometer detector and banches off to two passages from a passage branch point 12. The solvent branching off to the first passage flows into a reference cell 18 of the differential refractometer detector via a needle valve 14 and a chamber 16. The solvent branching off to the second passage passes a solenoid valve 21 and joins piping 19 form the reference cell 18 at a tree-way joint 24, a branch point constituting a pressure change relaxing means. One side of the three-way joint 24 is connected to a solution reservoir 26 constituting a pressure change relaxing means, and connected to a three-way joint 28 via piping 27.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1999,JPO
