PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent critical influence on blood pressure measuring precision in spite of the change of a blood pressure value at every heart beat by a certain reason during blood pressure measurement in an oscillometric automatic blood pressure measuring instrument provided with a function for measuring propagation speed information of pulse wave which is propagated in the artery of a living body. SOLUTION: Expected propagation speeds are successively decided by an expected propagation speed deciding means 90 based on plural cuff pulse wave propagation speeds VM1 which are successively calculated by a propagation speed calculating means 84 after a change value judging means 86 judges that the change value of cuff pulse wave propagation speed VM1 measured by the instrument becomes equal to below a prescribed value. Then, a pulse wave correcting means 92 corrects cuff pulse wave to be used in a blood pressure deciding means 80 by adding an amplitude value or a cuff pressure value obtained from previously set prescribed relation based on difference between the expected propagation speeds and the actually measured cuff pulse wave propagation speed.
