PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and device for manufacturing a metal sample quickly performing the analysis evaluation of inclusion in metal. SOLUTION: The method for manufacturing a metal sample for nonmetallic inclusion analysis levitates and melts the metal sample in a cold crucible in a non-oxidation environment, after melting and holding are performed, and inert gas is sprayed on a melting metal surface, which is solidified and next the whole melting metal is solidified. With regard to the device therefor a crucible for cold crucible levitation and melting 5 is arranged in a melting device 2 held in the non-oxidation environment, and an inert gas spraying nozzle 14 is disposed on the upper face of the crucible 5.
