PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily confirm the influence of changes of retrieval conditions on a retrieval result. ;SOLUTION: A retrieval condition accepting means 2 accepts retrieval conditions that a user inputs by using an input device such as a keyboard. A document retrieving means 3 acquires a document set meeting the retrieval conditions that the retrieval condition accepting means 2 has accepted from a document storage means 1. A relativity calculating means 4 regards respective words present in the document set as relative word candidates. Then the relativity between the retrieval conditions which the retrieval condition accepting means 2 has accepted and relative word candidates is calculated for every retrieval condition. A relative word calculating means 5 compares the relativity of the respective relative word candidates calculated by the relativity calculating means 4 according to the accepted retrieval condition which the retrieval condition accepting means 2 has accepted and determines relative words according to variation in the value of the relativity of the respective relative word candidates.
