PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a high-energy sytheric laser beam in which three or more laser beams are synthesized and the optical axes of each laser beams coincide with each other. ;SOLUTION: A semiconductor laser light source device 11A is provided with a dichroic mirror(DM) 12 and a polarized light beams splitter(PBS) 13. Two laser beams L1, L2 having different wavelengths from each other are made incident from mutually different faces of the DM 12 so as to intersect at one point on the surface of the DM 12. The laser beam L1 is transmitted and the laser beam L2 is reflected by the DM 12 so that the optical axes of the both beams are coincident with each other united and synthesized to generate a synthesized beam L12. A laser beam L3 which has a polarized light axis that vertically intersects the polarized light axis and the synthesized beam L12 beam is made incident from mutually different faces of the PBS 13 so that the both beams are intersected at one point of the PBS 13. By reflecting the beam L13 and transmitting the synthesized beam L12 by the PBS 13, the optical axes of the both beams are synthesized so as to be coincident with each other and the device outputs the synthesized laser beams.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1999,JPO
