PURPOSE: To achieve complete gasification of hydrogen contained in water by reduction in the production of hydrogen gas as a specimen for the determination of deuterium concentration of water for the analysis of hydrogen isotope ratio. ;CONSTITUTION: Water is reduced by reacting with metallic zinc granule 2 in a reaction tube 1 at a high temperature in vacuum to generate hydrogen gas.
