PURPOSE:To measure a combustible component in high sensitivity, by catalytically reacting the combustible gas flowing from a column to a catalyst type filament and outputting its heat of reaction as an electric signal. CONSTITUTION:Gas to be measured carried in carrier gas is supplied to columns 24, 25 from a flow passage 23 and a combustible component such as gaseous mixture of H2 and H2 isotopes is separated to introduce into detectors 5, 6 supported by two arms 3, 4 of a bridge circuit 2 together with gas for an auxiliary fuel introduced from a flow passage 22 and is brought into contact with catalyst type filament elements 20, 21 to react. Further, the equilibrium of the circuit 2 is lost by changing the resistance value of the element 20, 21 by this heat of reaction and this unequilibrated voltage is outputted as an electric signal through an attenuator 16 to read by a recorder. Hereby, the quantitative measurement of the combustible component is performed extending from the trace concentration to high concentration.
