PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reliably transmit a load weight at a pile head to a pile top end and enable an accurate perpendicular load test by a method wherein an inner pipe is freely and slidably engaged with an outer pipe, and by use of a fiictional resistance on an outer periphery of the outer pipe as a reaction force, a perpendicular supporting load at a top end part of the inner pipe is measured. ;SOLUTION: An inner pipe 2 is freely, slidably and axially engaged with an outer pipe 1 and a test pile is penetrated into a ground 6. A top end of the test pile enlarges the inner pipe 2 in a diameter so as to be equalized to the outer pipe 1 by a pipe enlarging connection, and projects it downwardly of the outer pipe 1, so that a perpendicular load weight is transmitted to the support ground 6 and its reaction force is taken for the outer pipe 1. An apex part of the inner pipe 2 is coupled to a seat 5 and an apex part of the outer pipe 1 is coupled to load beams 3 between which a jack 4 is provided. Further, a space between the inner pipes 2 is held at a constant interval by a spacer 8'. Accordingly, when a load weight is applied by the jack 4 at the time of load test, by use of a circumferential face frictional resistance of the outer pipe 1 via the load beam 3 as a reaction force, the inner pipe 2 is apt to be penetrated into the ground 6. At this time, a reaction force of load weight is transmitted to the outer pipe 1 and a frictional resistance works on an outer periphery of the outer pipe 1 in the ground 6, so that a support load of the pile is decided as the sum of the frictional resistance and the top end resistance.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1999,JPO
