PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize an excellent iron loss characteristic, by adding P and Mn to a Fe-Si-B alloy containing Ti. ;SOLUTION: An amorphous alloy thin body is manufactured by using a single roll method, from molten alloy having component composition expressed by a formula: Fe100-x-y-z-u-x-wBxSiyPzTiuMuvCw. In this case, x is 8-20 at.%, y is 40-20 at.%, z is 3-8 at.%, u is 0.05-0.2 at.%, v is 0-0.3 at.%, and w is 0-2 at.%. Thus, deterioration in magnetic property due to mixture of Ti, which is a concern in the conventional case where ferroboron of low quality is used as an alloy material, can be effectively eliminated, and in addition, iron loss can be improved further.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1998,JPO
