PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To carry out nail driving work for each one piece positively continuously by controlling arbitrarily continuously one cyclic operation from the start to the end of a shutter for carrying out lowering and folding of a stapler needle and a pair of anvils. SOLUTION: Through the initiation of electrification, rotation of a sleeve 51 is made rotatable. A coil spring 50 comes in close contact with the circumferences of a main clutch member 32 and follower clutch member 34 by receiving the rotating operation of the sleeve 51 and main clutch member 32. Thus, rotational energy is transmitted to a drive-transmission mechanism 70 or a transmission mechanism to be driven via the main clutch 32 and follower clutch 34 controlled by the coil spring 50, so that nail driving is performed via the action of the shutter or anvils. Then, rotation of a rotating body 44 is given restoring force of the spring, and a projection is fitted in the recess part of the sleeve 51, thereby allowing rotation of the sleeve 51 to stop and nail driving to be completed in accordance with an intention of the operator.
