PURPOSE: To prevent the squeak of a brake by freely installing a weight ON the outer periphery of a brake rod connected with a cam lever for turning- operating a brake shoe and dumping the frictional force in brake application by the dynamic damper effect due to the weight and a spring. CONSTITUTION: A drum brake 11 has a pair of brake shoes 15 accommodated in a brake panel 12, and the shoe 15 is spread by the turn of a brake cam 16 through a cam lever 17 by operating a brake rid 21, and a brake POWER is generated by the press contact of both shoes 15 ON the inner peripheral surface of the brake drum. In this case and a weight 23 is freely fitted ON the outer periphery of the brake rod 21. Further and a pressing spring 25 is interposed between a washer 26 fitted ON the brake rod 21 and the recessed part 28 of the inner hole 27 of the weight 23. Then and the frictional force in brake application is attenuated by the dynamic damper effect due to the weight 23 and the pressing spring 25.
