PURPOSE: To provide the method and device for the deflection speed control for the crank of a modulator for antilock brake which improves the durability of a stopper member, etc., by softening the shock load in the collision with the stopper member at an upper limit position, in the restoration operation of the crank action on an expander piston. ;CONSTITUTION: A brake control system 20 is equipped with a crank pin 44 for pressing an expander piston 58, return spring 56, dc motor 40, and a potentiometer 50, and when the crank pin 44 is deflected in the upper limit position direction by the pressing force of the return spring 56, and reaches a previously set turning region, the dc motor 40 is urged to decelerate the deflection speed of the crank pin 44.
