A clutch, esp. for a yarn feeder, has at least one driven (34) part (12a) and a concentric second part (15a) which is coupled to an output (6). The second part (15a) can move axially to engage or disengage coupling elements (38,44). The parts (12a,15a) are shaped so that when the coupling elements (38,44) engage, an open space (70,71) remains to accommodate fly. This space is connected to a larger space (37) or to the outside, both in the engaged and disengaged state of the coupling. Also claimed is a yarn feeder arrangement using such a clutch.
