The present invention relates to a friction reducing vessel having a compressed air generator, a friction reducing apparatus and a gas ejection apparatus, wherein the friction reducing vessel is provided with a plate-shaped protrusion on the outer hull of the vessel and blows gas into the water at the apex region of the plate-shaped protrusion. A gas blowing outlet is arranged to produce microbubbles. The gas is supplied from a gas supply pipe located immediately nearby to the gas ejection outlet, shortening the path to a practical level.
