An apparatus for chopping hardboiled egg includes an elongatedsealable vessel large enough to receive approximately one to threeshelled hardboiled eggs. Suspended within the vessel is astationary cutter that divides the interior of the vessel into twoapproximately equal chambers. The cutter preferably includes apair of stainless steel strands that extend along substantiallyperpendicular diagonals within the vessel. With the egg sealedwithin, the user shakes the vessel so as to cause the egg to passbetween the two chambers and to strike the cutter, therebycausing the egg to be chopped.
