CARRIER MANAGER INTERFACE UTILIZING AN OCX CONTROL

The present invention is a method and system of utilizing an OCX andobject oriented programming to share data between applications operating underdiffering operating system environments. The method links a first clientapplication with a second client application, through a carrier manager modulewhich could comprise an OCX environment, by initiating the first client applicationand transmitting a query from the first client application to the carrier managermodule. The second client application is subsequently initiated and a query istransmitted from the second client application to the carrier manager module. Arunning object table is created within the carrier manager module. The carriermanager module, the query from the first client application, and the query fromthe second client application are registered within the running object table as aseparate objects. Once registered, the objects can be evaluated by comparing apre-determined subset of a select object with one or more subsets comprisinganother object. Once a comparison has been made, the method then performs alinking of the objects to create a new object; and, if a match does not exist, thenthe system querys subsequent objects until a match is made. After the evaluationhas been made, then the method performs a linking of the first client applicationwith the second client application by creating a fourth object that comprises thenew object and linking commands for linking the first client application with thesecond client application.
