Data security in multipoint publish/subscribe communications

The method and program product are useful in a publish/subscribe communications system (30), such as one having a publisher (10) and at least one subscriber (20). In the method and program product the encrypted data is published to one or more subscribers (20', 20''). The subscriber attempts decryption but fails to decrypt the data. The method and the program product then initiate a key exchange between the subscriber (20', 20'') and the publisher (10). This results in passing the key and thereafter decrypting the published data.
