Fabric selvage is formed by a leno unit with two rotating bodies with controlled rotation and rotation reverse to form displaced fabric and catch selvages. In weaving the fabric edge, the selvage and catch selvage are each a full cross leno selvage. Rotation bodies give the leno selvage and catch selvage yarns with opposed twists. Also claimed is are: (1) an apparatus with an initial rotation leno selvage unit (12), with a leno yarn (12), has a rotating body (12-a) to form the fabric selvage (2); (2) a further leno selvage unit (13), with a catch selvage yarn (9), has a rotating body (13-a) to form a catch selvage (3); and (3) the fabric and catch selvages (2, 3) form full cross leno structures with the wefts (4), through a controlled rotation and direction of rotation at the rotation bodies (12-a, 13-a).
