The cowling has an inner shell (27) which cooperates with the two partitions (20, 24) and the engine casing outer wall (9E) to form a chamber (28) enclosing the pipe (10). The outer wall also has air intake and outlet holes (34, 35), and the inner shell is detachable and fitted to the forward partition with an elastic seal (32). The ring cowling (9) is equipped with a de-icing system for its hollow leading edge (16), which has a peripheral chamber (21) formed by a partition and having one or more holes linked to the outside atmosphere. The de-icing system has a pipe (10) with its rear end passing through an additional inner partition and connected to a pressurized hot air circuit (14), and equipped at its forward end with an injector (12) delivering hot air to the chamber.
