The invention relates to a drive device (10) for blinds and the like comprising an electric motor which is arranged on the drive side and is provided for moving the blind, and an electric limit switching device for an upper and/or at least one lower end position of the blind. Said switching device is arranged in a housing of the drive device (10) and is connected to the electric motor. A separate, flat and rigid contact element (22) is arranged inside the housing of the drive device (10). The contact element is provided in order to construct the electric connection between the electric motor and the limit switching device which is located on the drive side inside the drive device (10). Said contact element can be plugged into the limit switching device at one end and into the terminal body of the electric motor at the other end. The electric connection technique is simplified between the individual components of the drive device (10).
