FIELD: aeronautical engineering; protection of air intakes against foreign object ingestion. SUBSTANCE: method consists in feeding the jets of compressed air to surface of runway under air intake inlet from nozzle injectors. Compressed air is fed by pulses from inclined injectors: six injectors are located over circumference and one injector is located in center. Injectors are mounted under air intake. First, three jets are blown out to circle of maximum horizontal velocities through odd group of injectors located over circumference during two seconds. Then, during one second, one jet is blown out to center of circle of maximum horizontal velocities through central injector. Then three jets are blown out to circle of maximum horizontal velocities through even group of injectors during two seconds. Then one jet is blow out to center of maximum velocity circle through central injector during one second, after which the complete cycle is repeated. EFFECT: enhanced efficiency of breaking vortex flows at reduced power requirements. 1 dwg
