The invention relates to a device for sending and receiving radar waves, especially for a distance sensor, wherein the send signals can be transmitted to at least one antenna element and the receive signals can be extracted therefrom. The antenna elements used for transmission are formed by circular polarized radar waves. The send signals are supplied to at least one side of the antenna element so that they are diffused on a first polarization plane. The receive signals are picked up by the antenna element on a second polarization plane which is perpendicular to the first polarization plane.
