The invention relates to a concrete compacting device for compacting plastically deformable concrete in a formwork (2), comprising at least one vibrating unit (1) which is attached to the formwork (2) and has a vibration-generating unit (3). The compacting device is characterized in that the vibrating unit (1) comprises an acceleration sensor (5) for generating a signal corresponding to a vibration generated by the vibration-generating unit (3) at the level of the formwork (2), and a control unit (6) which is impinged upon by said signal and serves to control operating parameters of the vibration-generating unit (3).
