Measurement value detection and indicating system produces graphic indication of summation distribution function CDF of measurements of peak-average output ratio of digital modulated RF signal and ideal

The ideal digital modulated RF signal e.g. a digital 8-VSB TV signal is measured. A variable working target point or plan factor value is introducible in the system, which defines a working point on the indication of the ideal CDF of the peak average output ratio. The corresponding working point is determined on the indicator of the CDF of the output ratio of the RF signal, and together with a numerical indication of the difference between the real and ideal working point. Alarm limit variables can produce an alarm signal, if the peak average output ratio of the RF signal exceeds the alarm limit can be adjusted. The measurement value detection and indication unit in addition produces a graphic indication of the channel frequency spectrum of the digitally modulated RF signal.
