PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable an efficient ejection of droplets by enhancing the density of acoustic energy. ;SOLUTION: Sound wave 26 is introduced from a piezoelectric transducer 20 to ink 30 substantially in a plane-like fashion, and this sound wave 26 is reflected by a reflection wall 11. The reflection wall 11 provides a parabola in a cross-section shown in the drawing, and an ejection port 19 is disposed in the vicinity of a focal point of this parabola, whereby the sound wave 26 is caused to converge to the ejection port 19 so as to enhance the density of acoustic energy inside ink 30 at this portion, thereby ink droplets 31 being ejected from the ejection port 19.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1998,JPO
