The on-board sonar equipment gives the torpedo position for the launch of an acoustic interference body (SK). At a given distance from the submarine, the body emits sound for a given time span at a higher level than the sound generated by the submarine in the water. The submarine also launches submersibles (TK), on a number of different courses (B1-B4), which simulate the noise pattern of the submarine and/or the reflections of the homing signals from the torpedo. The submersibles (TK) move on programmed courses (B1-B4) at programmed speeds and running depths.
