The plaster-of-Paris model of a patient`s teeth is mounted on a baseplate in order to fit the model in an articulator. The model is secured to the baseplate (1) by a magnetic coupling element. The magnetic coupling consists of a disc (22) of ferromagnetic material (22), pref. steel, which is embedded in the surface of the baseplate. This disc is attracted by a magnetic element (51a) which is secured to the model (35) by a screw thread which engages the screw thread of a tapped hole (53). USE/ADVANTAGE - Attachment of a model of a patient`s teeth to an articulator. The magnetic coupling is easily taken apart without causing damage to the model.
