The tower may be attached to the building or be prefabricated and be transported by road when it is self supporting and attached to the outside of the building. It is rectangular and has a central system of platforms and ladders (6) positioned halfway between two floors. The service pipes (2, 3) are pre-installed around the central platform and connections made for each floor.
