Aromatising an environment with coffee aroma

A method of aromatising a specified volume with a stable coffee aroma comprises providing a hollow vessel 10 containing coffee grinder gas but free of molecular oxygen, effecting pressurisation of the coffee grinder gas in the hollow vessel 1 and engaging spray means 2 to spray stable coffee grinder gas into the specified volume. Preferably the specified volume is the environment which surrounds the hollow container. The invention also relates to apparatus for carrying out such a method.
