A garment finishing system in which a garment is carried on one of a plurality of carriers (12) between multiple processing stations, at each of which stations a finishing operation is carried out on the garment. The carriers (12) are supported upon a continuous loop (10) along which they can travel between processing stations. Garments are loaded onto the carriers (12) at a loading station, and are then carried to successive processing stations at which finishing operations such as pressing, steaming, drying, inspection, labelling and folding are carried out. Garments are released from the carriers at an unloading station.
