PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase the sense of immersion in response to the change of a screen caused by the flowing of air and the situation of the screen and to attain the adaptation to the actual state by fetching the human motions into a virtual world and handling this virtual world. ;SOLUTION: A user breathes upon a screen 11 of a display 10 as shown by an arrow 12 and this breath air is rebounded like an arrow 13. Then the rebounded air flows into a wind force measuring instrument 1 and hits a wind receiving plate 5. Thus, a gradation plate 4 is revolved according to the wind force. Therefore a laser beam is radiated from a projector 8 as shown by an arrow 14, and the laser beam that is transmitted through one of polarizing plates 7, 7a and 7b is received by an optical sensor 9. The sensor 9 produces the output in response to the intensity of the laser beam and generates the wind force according to the output value of the sensor 9. If a cover is attached to the instrument 1 to shut off the outside, the instrument 1 is never affected by the outside. Thus, the human motions such as a camera and a microphone are fetched into a virtual world and this virtual world is directly handled.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2000,JPO
