PURPOSE:To improve corrosion resistance of a beer barrel by remaking a conventional beer barrel. CONSTITUTION:A beer barrel 1 comprises a combination of an outer cylinder 2, an upper head and a lower head 4. The upper head 3 is welded to an inner surface of the outer cylinder 2. Resin 16 is filled in a space formed between the upper head 3 and the outer cylinder 2 to prevent corrosion of a welded part due to invasion of water. When a conventional beer barrel is remade, an upper protector provided on the outer cylinder 2 is cut off and removed, inside of the space is cleaned and filled with the resin 16, and then, an improved upper protector 17 is substituted. The improved upper protector has a circular rib 19 of a smaller diameter than an inner diameter of a circular rib of a conventional protector, in order that, when the beer barrels are piled on stages, the upper protector can engage with an upper protector 9 of a beer barrel on the lower stage. Thus improved beer barrel can be piled on stages vertically.
