PURPOSE: To obtain a new emulsion sizing agent of an alkenylsuccinic acid, capable of manifesting excellent sizing effects just after papermaking at a low ratio of addition even both in high-temperature papermaking and within a wide pH range and excellent in storage stability at a high concentration. ;CONSTITUTION: The alkenylsuccinic acid-based emulsion sizing agent at ≥25wt.% solid concentration based on 100 pts.wt. solids of the emulsion sizing agent is obtained by dispersing an alkenylsuccinic acid prepared from a reactional product of a 12-18C branched inner olefin with maleic anhydride in water with polyvinyl alcohol.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1994,JPO&Japio
