PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a nifedipine pill which can release the nifedipine quickly and over a long time when orally administered, by forming a pill nucleus and a nifedipine-coated layer for covering the pill nucleus. SOLUTION: This nifedipine pill contains (A) a pill nucleus and (B) a nifedipine-coated layer for covering the pill nucleus. The component A preferably comprises a water-soluble vehicle (for example, a water-soluble saccharide such as mannose, galactose, glucose, fructose, sucrose, lactose, maltose, dextrin, glycogen or inulin) or a water-insoluble vehicle (for example, starch, finely crystalline cellulose or talc) and a medicinally usable carrier. The component B contains an effective amount of nifedipine dissolved in an organic solvent (for example, acetone, ethanol or isopropanol). The nifedipine pill can be orally administered.
