PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate handling during construction work for a culvert and to enhance water permeability. ;SOLUTION: A culvert drain pipe 11 made of a vinyl chloride resin pipe is positioned in a groove 10 formed by digging the ground of a planted area where a culvert is to be constructed. A mat-shaped culvert draining filter 1 comprising lightweight aggregate such as perlite stored in a flexible and water- permeable wrapping body such as a fiber fabric of polypropylene is formed. After the upper surface and side faces of the culvert drain pipe 11 laid in position are covered with a plurality of culvert draining filters 1 obtained, the groove 10 is backfilled with earth to construct a culvert draining facility having excellent water permeability and capable of collecting water.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2000,JPO
