PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress damage and dislocation of a pillar garnish when a bag unit of an air bag is inflated, and smoothly inflate the bag unit of the air bag. ;SOLUTION: The vicinity of an upper end part of a front pillar garnish 26 is fixed to a pillar inner panel 34 by a bolt 72 and a weld nut 74. The vicinity of a lower end part of the front pillar garnish 26 is engaged with a peripheral edge part of a mounting hole 84 of the pillar inner panel 34 by an engaging pin 82. The mounting hole 84 has a small diametric part 84B extended in a lengthwise central direction of the pillar inner panel 34 from a large diametric part 84A, in the case of flexing the front pillar garnish 26 in dog-leg shape when a bag unit of an air bag is inflated, the engaging pin 82 can be moved with the front pillar garnish 26 in a prescribed range relating to the pillar inner panel 34.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1999,JPO
