PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make regenerable a used electrophotograhic photoreceptor or the like into a usable state by applying a compsn. mainly containing a specified org. compd., silica particles coupled to the org. compd. through silyloxy groups, and a photopolymn. initiator as a coating material for a regenerated layer on a photoreceptor to repair damaged portions, defective portions or worn portions. ;SOLUTION: A compsn. mainly containing an org. compd. having one or more kinds of groups selected from polymerizable unsaturated groups, groups expressed by formula I and groups expressed by formula II, silica particles coupled to the org. compd. through silyloxy groups, and a photopolymn. initiator is applied as a coating material for regeneration treatment on a photoreceptor to repair damaged portions, defective portions or worn portions to obtain an electrophotographic photoreceptor which can be reused. In formulae I, II, X is selected from among -NH-, -O- and -S-, Y is selected from between oxygen atom and sulfur atom, but when X is -O-, Y is sulfur atom.
