PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a coating capable of preventing oxide semiconductors from corrosion even when an liquid electrolyte is formed on the surface of the oxide semiconductors due to dew condensation and/or deliquescence of salts by adding a substance having water repellent function to a coating material. ;SOLUTION: This coating is affored with water repellent function. The water repellent function can be achieved by adding a substance having water repellent function, such as fluorine-based aqueous coatings, fluorine-based organic solvent type coatings or fluorine-based surface modifier and resins holding the same. When a fluorine-based surface modifier is used, its amount to be added is preferably 0.1-80 wt.% based on a coating film. An ion-exchangeable material can also be included in this coating. It is preferable that the ion exchangeable material is granular and has an average particle diameter of 1-1,000 μm and is at least one kind of cation exchange resin and anion exchange resin and included at 0.2-99.8 wt.% of the solid content of the coating.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1999,JPO
