METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR DELIVERING TRAILING EDGE OF SHEET BY REVERSING UNIT OF SHEET-FED ROTARY PRESS

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To assure an accurate delivery of a register having an agreed printing registering even in high running speed and treating a thick matter to be printed by providing an air supply nozzle for supplying air flow toward a sheet guide cylinder at a lower side of a trailing edge of a sheet. SOLUTION: A sheet raising means 12 having an air supply nozzle 16 directed toward a cylinder 4 to supply an air flow to a lower side of a trailing edge 2 of a sheet 6 guided on a sheet guide cylinder 4 placed at a front side is distributed and disposed over an entire axial length and/or circumferential direction of the cylinder 4. Accordingly, a sheet gripper 14 is drawn from an outer edge of the cylinder 4 substantially simultaneously at the time of raising the edge 2 by the means 12. A gripper base 22 of the gripper 14 receives the edge 2 from a sheet guide unit 17 at an outside of the edge of the cylinder 4. In this case, the base 22 as an interval equal to that of the unit 17 to the cylinder 4 in a range for receiving the edge 2. As a result, the edge 4 is gently delivered from the unit 17 to the base 22.
