PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for forming a stone-like coating film whereby a coating film resistant to cracking can be formed and an aggregate-containing coating material can be applied by one coating with a coating roller by coating a substrate with a slightly elastic undercoating material colored similarly to a coating film color of an aggregate-containing coating material and then coating with the aggregate-containing coating material by using a coating roller. ;SOLUTION: The slightly elastic undercoating material is colored, e.g. by adding a coloring pigment. Preferably, the coloring pigment in the form of a fundamental color coating material for color matching is added to the undercoating material. An example of the fundamental color coating material for color matching is a coating material containing an acrylic resin, a pigment dispersant, and a coloring pigment. Further addition of a colored aggregate is preferable for coloring the slightly elastic undercoating material. In addition to crushed natural stones, ceramics, ceramic-coated pigments, etc., a colored lightweight aggregate can be used as the colored aggregate.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2000,JPO
