STONE-LIKE COATING COMPOSITION AND METHOD FOR FORMING STONE-LIKE PATTERN

PURPOSE: To obtain a stone-like coating composition a thin film of which is capable of expressing a material feeling of a natural stone having transparent feeling and deep feeling and to provide a method for forming stone-like patterns. ;CONSTITUTION: (1) This stone-like coating composition comprises 0.5-20 pts.wt. colored aggregate (a) having 3 color difference (ΔE) from a coating base and 0.05-2.0mm average particle size, 0.5-20 pts.wt. colored aggregate (b) having ≥3 color difference (ΔE) from the coating base and 0.05-2.0mm average particle size, 20-60 pts.wt. transparent aggregate having 0.1-0.5mm average particle size and 20-90% opecifying ratio and 25-60 pts.wt. coating film forming resin (solid base). (2) This method for forming a stone-like pattern is to carry out the following processes in order; a process for coating the whole surface of building material boards 1 of ceramics with a joint-colored coating, a process for applying undercoat on a joint coating layer 2 in an unjoint part and a process applying the stone-like coating composition on the undercoat layer 3 of the unjoint part so as to get 10-100μm dry film thickness (coated layer 4).;COPYRIGHT: (C)1996,JPO
