PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a termination call sound ringing circuit for improving the property of coping with termination call, a private branch exchange device and a private branch exchange method. ;SOLUTION: A public network is connected through a trunk line in a trunk line interface circuit 4 and a prescribed extension telephone set 8 is connected in an extension telephone set interface circuit 6. A termination call number-of- times detection part counts the number of times of the termination call through the trunk line and a termination call sound ringing specifying table 7 stores data for specifying the termination ringing destination of the extension telephone set 8 based on the number of times of the termination call. A changeover switch for specifying the extension telephone set to receive the termination call through the trunk line based on the number of times of the termination call and data entered in the termination call sound ringing specifying table is provided and a CPU 3 controls a series of operations from the termination call to the selection of the extension telephone set and ringing instruction.
