PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prepare the subject compound improved in the point for soap to become soft due to being dissolved in water, having excellent ability for moisture retention and sparingly having irritation to the skin by mixing an aliphatic acid-based toilet soap as a principal detergent with a monoglyceride sulfonate as an auxiliary detergent.;SOLUTION: This compound soap includes (A) an aliphatic acid-based toilet soap and (B) 2-35 wt.% monoglyceride sulfonate of the formula (wherein, R is a 7-21C alkyl; M is sodium, triethanolamine or the like). The ingredient B is e.g. a coconut oil monoglyceride sulfonate. The compound soap including the monoglyceride sulfonate is economically produced by adding an electrolyte (preferably sodium chloride) and a neutralizing agent to a fatty acid to obtain a fatty acid-based liquid soap. adding a chlorohydroxysulfonate to the liquid soap in a stirred state to obtain a compound liquid soap and by drying it to form a cake of soap.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2000,JPO
