PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a compsn. excellent in light-screening properties, physical properties, and processibility by incorporating a specified amt. of titanium oxide into a free-radically curable unsatd. resin compsn. contg. an unsatd. resin and an unsatd. polymerizable monomer.;SOLUTION: This compsn. comprises (A) a free-radically curable unsatd. resin (e.g. an unsatd. polyester or an epoxy acrylate), (B) an unsatd. polymerizable monomer, (C) a curing agent, (D) a cure accelerator, and (E) a filler and contains 1.0-10 wt.% titanium oxide, the contents of ingredients C and D being 0.01-5 pts.wt. and 0.001-5 pts.wt., respectively, based on 100 pts.wt. sum of ingredients A and B. A molding material prepd. by impregnating or mixing a fibrous reinforcement with the compsn. is used in the form of a sheet molding compd. or a bulk molding compd.
